Conditions

The foundation of every movement.

The foot and ankle absorb the forces of running, cutting, and landing — often many times body weight. When the foundation falters, the whole kinetic chain compensates, so treatment looks at the full picture, not just the painful spot.

Evaluation

How a foot and ankle visit is structured.

  • History including footwear, training surface, and load changes
  • Gait and alignment assessment, not just the painful area
  • Tendon, ligament, and joint examination
  • Ultrasound survey of tendons and soft tissues
  • Review of X-ray and MRI against the examination findings
  • Loading and rehabilitation planning matched to the athlete’s demands

Common conditions evaluated

  • Achilles tendinopathy
  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Ankle sprains and chronic instability
  • Peroneal tendon problems
  • Posterior tibial tendon dysfunction
  • Stress response and bone stress injuries
